François Leite is an HMONP-qualified architect and designer, based between Paris and Marseille. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles, his path has taken shape between Paris, Buenos Aires and Portugal. After more than ten years in architecture and urban planning practices, leading complex projects alongside multidisciplinary teams, he founded his studio in 2022. The studio today develops architecture, interior architecture and design projects across residential, hospitality, restaurant and retail work, in France and internationally.
Every project begins with an in-depth dialogue with the client, to understand what truly lies beyond the brief: their ambitions, their uses, the history of a place or a brand. This understanding informs a close reading of the site (existing structures, light, climate, uses, history), extended through a limited number of precise operations: working a thickness, framing a view, shifting a threshold, revealing a structure.
Budget is a material of the project: integrated from the earliest thinking, it becomes a tool of judgment and precision. Rather than multiplying effects, the studio prioritizes investment, concentrating resources where they produce the most value, spatial, constructive and functional.
Materials are never mere finishes, but chosen for their intrinsic qualities: physical, thermal, tactile, memorial. Stone, wood, metal, concrete, glass: each material is worked in its own expression, allowed to weather and root the project in its time and context. This durability rests not only on technical performance, but on a place’s capacity to carry several lives without losing what gives it its strength, from the transformation of existing structures to custom furniture. Across every scale, the studio pursues the same precision: spaces that are singular, radical and refined, whose character comes from the rightness of proportion, material and light, rather than from accumulation.
